Silver can't say he celebrates Unova Day that readily. Yeah, sure, he may be an immigrant and people are waiting for him to tell his story about how he came to this country and it changed his life, but really what's he gonna say? How much he loves not having healthcare and how going into debt for his education is great?

But hell if he doesn't love fireworks. And so the cafe is set up on the street so Silver can throw firecrackers from the stand. It's probably better to have service in the yard, too; the Cafe doesn't have air conditioning.

Sunset couldn't wait to celebrate Unova Day! Yeah, sure, she was only half-Unovan, and the other half was Unova's mortal enemy during the war. But she lived in a country where freedom and justice prevailed, and one's background meant nothing compared to what they would do now. That's why she was so glad to be getting her undergrad in law.

She was also glad to have a job, which earned her money. Which she used to by hella big boxes of fireworks for everybody who was working at the cafe that day, including all 350 of her Pokemon.

Well, okay, she borrowed some cash from her mom. But patriotism was a noble goal, and her mom wanted to spite her dad for being against Unova Day. (And there was another freedom Unovans had: being able to spite your ex.)

Sunset sat at her station. The heat made her butt stick to her chair, but at least it was better than sweating it out in Kalos.

Snease spies on her targets from the roof, Aghast next to her. She peers through her binoculars, finding the first option: Sunset.

"Fire," she says.

Aghast drops the bomb-- a couple water balloons.

You know, limeade was surprisingly easy to make. And Sunset made sure that they had a good stock read-

She scooted her chair back a bit. The water balloons fell to the ground and splattered, missing her.

...made sure they had a good ready, because this was the kind of drink people would pay for on a hot summer day. And the more sales they made, the more money for the cafe. And more money meant that they wouldn't have to worry too much about bills, or hiring new exorcists to try and keep demons from escaping the basement.

Sunset looked up at the roof. She gave her little Pokebuddies a nice wave.

And then, she dug her hand into her pants pocket. She pulled out a small gun!

A squirt gun! She squinted, then aimed right at Aghast.

"Know what it's like to get Aspear juice in your eye?" she asked. "Cause if you guys ruin the stand, that's hours of hard earnings down the drain., and you'll have to pay for it."

And then she brought the gun to her face. She opened her mouth and squeezed the trigger, letting a splash of juice shoot into her mouth.

"Next time, throw a bunch at once," she advised them. "There'll be more shadows, but it'll be harder to dodge. Hitting someone when they're sitting was a genius idea, though. You almost got me."

On this fantastic day, another immigrant was having a wonderful time. Prancing up and down the street was Marron, who was wilding two sparklers, on in each clawhand.

"I am so proud to be a Unovan!" Even though she was a Kalosian with a strong accent, this was what Unova was all about. Shedding your previously nationalities and lighting off strong ordinance in the streets.

Seemed like lots of people were celebrating Unova day! Even people who haven't been seen in a long long time and also are really irrelevant and not important to anything!

Like Greene!

The lizard struts into the cafe, semi-aware of the date and the festivities, but not being terribly mindful of it. He was from Hoenn after all, so why even bother caring, right?

Either way he makes his way towards a booth, sits his butt down, and browses the menu. How *exciting*

Everyone's favorite ice ghost was also working today, trying to get a bit cooled off from the summer heat. Not that it was as bad today, of course.

Her way of celebrating the holiday was, despite not realizing how controversial it was, a "Make Unova Great Again" hat. Wonder if anyone's going to point out to the Sinnohan what kind of connotation that brings?

Also, the cowboy was there again. He seemed to be in a better mood than usual, so hey. He even had his little Happiny out and sitting on whichever table he ended up at.

Also, because Unova, Lt. Surge would be around! Fancy that!

Needless to say, straight to the Limeaid stand he'd go.

"Hey there, how much for a cup?" He'd ask, pretending not to notice the scuffle between Sunset and her totally unseen adversary.

Reyzadren sat by the window glass of the cafe, slurping his tea brewed by the cafe bartender. He looked upon his trainer card with what seems to be a Kalos alliance, though who knows what it'll be next time. He had never heard of this date being referred to as Unova Day, though as he was in the area, he didn't resist coming over to celebrate. Amongst the other cafe patrons of guys, girls, pokemon and fireworks, he stared at the distant roads as he gently waited for somebody.

Ilias arrives anyway, with Marinara the Tranquil already happily fluttering around him. Orre, technically, also celebrates "Unova Day," but they don't call it that over there. Psh. Typical Unovans, thinking the entire country is about them. Alola and Orre exist too!

Of course, this place is already much nicer than Orre. It's less, ah, an affront to everything that should not be. Cities in the middle of the desert didn't exist in old times for a reason. However, the sea heat has made this entire hellzone a humid wasteland, and while he's used to hundred degree weather, the humidity is killing him.

He flops against a table. Marinara blinks slowly, then orders a water.

Sounds like Illias needs some help from an ice type, and who else to help but the cafe's own Froslass?

Must you always be so dramatic?

Yes sis, now hush!

Rosalina floated over to the duo and set down two glasses of water.

"Are... you okay, sir?" She asked, gently touching his shoulder.

Obviously. Talk about a dumb question.

Sis, stop being mean!
