Kiawe, for once, is not on his volcano. Instead, he's a short walk outside of Wela Volcano Park. He decided to have a small cook out, knowing that beyond a grill he wasn't that good of a chef.

Funny, the only time a fire type specialist can cook is over an open fire.

The thought gave him a chuckle as his arcanine and personal marowak were out and playing in the grass.

He had put up some flyers around the island notifying that he'd be doing as much, and that it was open to whoever, but who knows who would show up. He wasn't that great with technology, after all. Worse case scenario, however, nobody would steal his ribs and his arcanine would get a steak bone to snack on.

Rally was there, along with his Noivern, Rockruff and Sycther.

Rally thought it would be nice to visit Kiawe again, see how he's been doing... Maybe see if he knows where to get any cool Pokemon like his Alolawack or Arcanine... And hopefully not get into any discussion about how Rally attempted to blow up Guzma's manor.

You know, the usual stuff.

Cough.

Rally brought a case of beer!

Okay, but you know who you all really want to see? That's right, the Ciphenator.

Cipher was also there! He was carrying boxes of frozen food, so they could enjoy a bigger meal. He had frozen pizza, ground beef, Wingull meat, a stuffed Farfetch'd, and some freshly-frozen burgers, sans buns.

He waved to Kiawe, then plopped the food right next to the grill.

Worry not Cipher, Kiawe brings extra buns. You never know who'll forget the buns.

"Greetings!" He called out to both of them, flipping some burgers and spam to evenly grill them. Cause Alolans love their spam.

"How was the trip up this way?" He asked to neither of the boys in particular.

Ew, spam is gross.

"It was pretty good!" Cipher said to Captain Kiwi. "I beat that Water trial on the way here? Pretty wild, pretty wild."

Cipher dug into his pocket, then dropped two Poke Balls to the floor. A Noibat and a Pyukumuku escaped from their prisons and sat before their trainer.

"My Pyukumuku needed rest and relax, so now we're here!"

Rally merely nodded to Kiawe.

But after a moment, he said, "How've you been?"

Spam is great, shut up.

Kiawe turned his head to look at Cipher's pokemon, humming to himself before turning back to the food.

"Perhaps you should take on my trial tomorrow. Don't think I recognize you." He pointed out before turning to face Rally fully.

"My day's been fine. Spent most of it so far setting all of this up." He answered. Which was interesting, considering that it was just him at the grill and two tables lazily prepared for people to actually eat at and another without any chairs near it that only had stuff for people to put on their burgers at the moment.

Good job Kiawe.

Spam is great for throwing in the garbage.

"Yep! Haven't done your Trial yet," Cipher said to him. "Call me Cipher. And you?"

Oh, but then Rally was talking. Time for Cipher to go quiet and wait for his turn to be talked to. He didn't like being interrupted, but he didn't want to butt in or anything, so...

He just sat down on the sand. His Pyukumuku presented him with a seashell, which was a really sweet gesture.

It's okay, chairs were for people too weak to stand a long time. Those people did not deserve Trials.

"You should stop by my place," Rally told Kiawe. "On Ula'ula. Next time, I'll worry about the food."

Wow, too bad Rally came empty-handed, huh? Aside from beers, but those were his Pokemon's idea.

Little bitch.

Spam may not be the meaty hero you want, but it's the one we need.

"Perhaps on one of my days off I will." Kiawe told Rally, smiling a bit as he checks on the meat.

"My names Kiawe." He told Cipher, turning to him. "I run the trial up on Wela Volcano." He explained further, finding little difficulty in his ability to balance two conversations at once. Odd how many people can do that in RPGen.

Meanwhile, his arcanine had decided to check out the Pyukumuku. Not like he hadn't seen them before, but this would not stop him from sniffing it out.

That smell...

An unmistakable smell...

"Yo! YO! What in the fuck's goin' down up in here? An' who the fuck forgot to invite me?" Peeking up, out of a patch of tall grass, was a Skull beanie, attached to a pair of angry eyebrows. Quickly, after piping up, the beanie strode forward, revealing a girl Team Skull grunt!

...who was carrying what looked to be a bucket full of dirt. Behind her, a Fomantis also quickly scurried out, carrying its own tiny pail of dirt. However, once it noticed the three dudes in front of it, it quickly let out a spooked squeak and almost dropped its pail.

"Y'all motherfuckers better not be havin' a barbecue. Not sharin' some-a those grilled goods is downright motherfuckin' sacrilege."

...oh of course they would. Have any kind of fun, and Skull will arrive to spoil it. Why wouldn't they?

"The flyers did say anyone could come and have some." Kiawe pointed out, his mood being shot by this clown showing up. Because why wouldn't Skull appear?

"...man, what the fuck, you think I got the time to read shit? You...y-you fuckin'...like, dork ass motherfucker!" Yeah, good comeback, you really got him. "In any motherfuckin' case, I'm an anyone. What y'all scrubs got to eat?"

Oh shit, Cipher totally zoned out there, which was why he was so late to reply to Kiawe. But by then, a Skull Grunt showed up!

"So, this is gonna be a party, huh?" Cipher said to the group. "Are we going to play games, too? Battle? Eating contest? Race? I'm up for anything."

Because Cipher wanted to be the best!

Meanwhile, Pyuke! It shivered in place when the Arcanine came down to sniff it. Poor thing, it was absolutely terrified of being eaten. It spat out a bit of purple goop onto the floor before it. Toxic, to warn the Pokemon not to try and eat it.

Also, Rally hoped that this Grunt didn't know that he nearly set their base on fire that one time.

"I'm currently making burgers and grilling some spam. Though if you guys want an eating contest I can happily cook up the hot dogs I brought." He answered, flipping his meat. "Though some of the burgers and spam is ready for people to eat if they want to grab buns and plates."

And oh boy did Kiawe bring the fine china. A stack of paper plates the size of his fist and athletically toned forearms.

If Skull decided to play nice, he may as well show the same courtesy. Not that it'll ever happen.

This grunt has bigger fish to fry than Rally. Or, rather, bigger dishes to fry. Right? Get it? Like, dishes, as in food? There's different foods here she can try?

Eh? Eh??

The grunt sauntered forward, setting the bucket down once she got closer to the little shindig unfolding in front of her. The Fomantis, as well, dropped its pail next to the bucket. It was a pail party, something that sounds sexual but totally isn't!

"Motherfuckin' hot dogs, burgers, and spam. Y'alls a bunch of basic bitches, it sounds like, but y'all don't look like you got much in the way of any motherfuckin' sense, so it's forgiven. Gimme some-a that spam, volcano boy."

Yaay! It's like they're a family now!

Spam is still fucking gross.

Cipher decided not to eat the spam. But he was going to grab a burger. And his Pokemon were going to enjoy the Berries that they'd been holding.

"Thanks, Kiawe!" Cipher said. "So, do you grill because it's related to Fire, or are you a Fire trainer because you like to grill?"

Okay, that came out wrong. But Cipher had already started making his burger at that point, so he wasn't going to dwell on the past.

To Skullette, he said, "You have a very strong personality. Like a Garbodor's smell, you can just overpower anyone. I like that."

Rally was already eating. Just watching everyone talk while his Pokemon played on the sands. Hey, his Rockruff was sniffing Arcanine!

Fucking Skull, man. If you ever want a mood ruined, and all that. Still, he wouldn't be so rude as to not at least serve up some spam for the grunt.

On the other hand, Kiawe was definitely not prepared for the kind of meta questions that Cipher decided to ask.

"I... hadn't thought of that, honestly. I want to say the fact that grilling is the only way I really know how to cook comes from my intimate knowledge of flame." He answered. Standing on a volcano all day does that. Hence his charcoal tan, if that's still a tan and not just permanent burn marks. Or revitaligo.

His arcanine, meanwhile, would stop messing with the pyukumuku long enough to turn around and sniff at the little rockruff. Would this one be his friend?
